The Martinez Gallery is a contemporary art gallery focusing mostly, but not exclusively, on Latino and Latin American art.
While retaining its original focus, the Gallery is currently exploring the intersections between art and everyday living. As such, Martinez Gallery is now a source for fine art photography, contemporary life styles, and design.
Opened in 2001, Martinez Gallery has established a record for presenting the highest quality art accessible to most art lovers.
Most of the Gallery’s artists are well established. They are critically acclaimed, some with international reputations, although not necessarily famous. As a result, their works represent an assurance of excellent quality and good value. In particular, the market for Latino and Latin American art, while receiving increasing attention from all sectors, is still undervalued, offering outstanding opportunities for growth and investment.
Many of the artists the Gallery represents exhibit here and abroad. Their works have been acquired for the permanent collections of museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), El Museo del Barrio, Museo del Arte Contemporaneo in Puerto Rico, Museo de Arte Moderno in Bogota, National Museum of Ceramics in Athens, Greece; National Museum of Art at the Smithsonian, Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and other museums worldwide.
The works of these artists are also found in corporate and in important private collections.
Occasionally, the Gallery will exhibit the work of emerging artists whose works are particularly promising.
