Alexis Mendoza

Alexis Mendoza was born in Cuba, and immigrated to the United States in the late 1990s.  He received his art training in Cuba, having studied at the San Alejandro National School of Fine Art; he also studied art history at Havana University, and the art conservation at the National Museum of Fine Arts, also in Havana.  Since his arrival in the United States, Mendoza has met with increasing success and exposure.  He has had several one-person and group shows in New York City galleries.  He has also shown his works in other American cities and in Brazil, Switzerland, Spain, and Germany.  Mendoza is actively engaged in curating and publishing scholarly works on art.  He is currently living in New York City.
